Monthly Councillors’ Surgeries at ASRA
Smethwick ASRA is pleased to announce that Councillors Charn Sing Padda, Abid Hussain and Aqeela Choudry will be holding monthly councillors’ surgeries at ASRA for residents of St Paul’s and the surrounding local community.
The surgeries will provide residents with an opportunity to raise local concerns, seek advice and discuss issues affecting their community.
First Surgery
Date: Wednesday 16th September 2026
Time: 1:30pm – 3:00pm
Location: Smethwick ASRA
Residents are welcome to discuss a wide range of local issues, including:
- Housing and homelessness
- Rough sleeping
- Fly-tipping and environmental concerns
- Education
- Planning and local developments
- Traffic and transport
- Other issues affecting the local community
The surgeries will generally be held in the ASRA reception area. If a resident needs to discuss a confidential or sensitive matter, a private room, such as the RES office or Boardroom, can be made available.
You don't have to wait for a surgery
Residents do not need to wait until the next monthly surgery if they have an urgent or pressing concern. The councillors can also be contacted directly by telephone or email.
We are pleased to support this opportunity for local residents and councillors to connect, raise concerns and work together to help address issues affecting the community.
Everyone in the local community is welcome.
